Grant Partner Survey Results

In late 2023 staff at the Keweenaw Community Foundation surveyed our community partners for feedback on our granting process.

We heard lots of positive feedback, but also identified areas of growth. The survey helped us find opportunities for refining our grant process, and we heard a call for additional support for organizations beyond traditional grantmaking.

To address this feedback, we are enhancing the grant process in a few ways. We created a new online grant reporting form to improve efficiency and user experience. We plan to revamp our website's grant application section to include step-by-step guides from application submission to reporting. In addition, we will host open houses during our Fall and Spring granting cycles to facilitate direct engagement with our staff to answer questions.

The Foundation is also expanding support for our community partners. This spring we will launch a quarterly non-profit education and networking event, covering topics that include grant writing, nonprofit governance, and fundraising. We're also developing a centralized nonprofit directory for easier access to information about local organizations.

Thank you to all who provided this valuable feedback! Your dedication of time and energy is deeply appreciated as we strive for continued growth and improvement.
