Previously Awarded Grants

2022: $500.00 to the Ahmeek Village Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department, for Hazardous Materials Response Equipment,
$200.00 to the Keweenaw Unitarian Universalist Fellowship for their Sustainability Film Series,
$400.00 to the Keweenaw Wild Bird R.E.C. for a net gun to aid in the capture of injured wild birds,
and $600.00 to the Swedetown Trails Club, to improve lights on the cross-country ski trails to reduce energy use and reduce maintainence.

In lieu of granting, the funds from fiscal years 2019 and 2020 were used for the Father's Day Flood clean-up efforts.

The Fall 2016 grant was awarded to Swedetown Trails, to help purchase a new, greener, trail groomer for the cross country ski trails. The new groomer has dramatically reduced exhaust emissions, meeting EPA tier-4 air-quality standards and allows grooming to be done in nearly half the time, causing less disturbance to wildlife.
