Supporting Local Parishes and Missions of the Roman Catholic Church

The Copper Country Catholic Churches fund provides financial assistance to local parishes and missions of the Roman Catholic Church in Houghton and Keweenaw Counties.

These grants provide assistance for capital improvements, religious education, or other special local projects. Local pastors are invited to have dinner together once each year and decide where the greatest local parish needs are and then designate grant money to those projects.

“Giving Back” refers to gifting or volunteering service to one’s community.  It has become a strong value of corporations, organizations, businesses, and local citizens. “Giving Back” came full circle when it connected the Keweenaw Community Foundation, a business, and an anonymous donor in creation of this local grant fund. The fund was started when the original donors gifted KCF property; KCF sold the property and placed the proceeds into the Copper Country Catholic Churches (CCCC) endowment, which grants local parishes monies each year in perpetuity for needs in our Copper Country Community.  Please consider “Giving Back” to this fund to support our local parishes and community.
