Portage Lake United Church
Sharing God’s Grace through Outreach and Engagement
Seeking to share God’s grace and abundant blessings with others, Portage Lake United Church commits to outreach and engagement beyond the boundaries of our church through ministries of care and hospitality to the underprivileged, newcomers from other countries, and the elderly in our community.
Portage Lake United Church is: Rooted in the Trinity; Growing in God’s Word; Branching out to those in need; Nourished by many waters.
PLUC is currently using their endowment with KCF to help support the Angel Mission. Angel Mission is a “free store” in Calumet that is supported primarily by the Presbyterian Church Conference in our region and by donations from Portage Lake United Church.
Members of PLUC each week bring food and clothing collected at PLUC to Angel Mission and help with sorting donations and distribution.
