Hancock Community Hub Announces Winner and Honorable Mentions for Logo Design Contest

The Hancock Community Hub (HCH) announced the results of its logo design contest. After receiving an incredible array of submissions from talented local creatives, a winning design has been selected (see logo image above). It will become the official logo for the Hancock Community Hub, representing the organization’s mission to foster community, belonging, and collaboration.

The winning logo was chosen by a panel of judges for its creativity and ability to embody the essence of the Hancock Community Hub. While the winner has chosen to remain anonymous, their impactful design will represent HCH across all platforms and initiatives. The winning designer received $100 in Keweenaw Cash and a $400 check, and their logo will serve as the official brand for the Hancock Community Hub.

“I really like the logo we chose - it has a very aesthetic, professional-looking appearance and also embodies our core values of bringing people together in action and collaboration,” said Sara Lahti, a Right Start UP Board Member.

Honorable mentions, Suvi Mack (3rd grade), and Adi Fiala (4th grade).

Honorable Mentions

In addition to the winning logo, HCH is proud to recognize two honorable mentions submitted by local youth: Suvi Mack (3rd grade) and Adi Fiala (4th grade) of Houghton Elementary School. Their hand-drawn designs showcases exceptional creativity and local artistic talent. Their artwork will be framed and displayed inside the Hancock Community Hub.

“We are excited to see such a high level of participation in our logo competition. The panel of judges was definitely impressed with the entries, and we hope we can engage the community in more programs and activities in the coming year,” said Meena Muthu, a Right Start UP Board Member.
