Group therapy for teens offers a unique and supportive environment where young individuals can come together to share their experiences, challenges, and triumphs. In these sessions, guided by a skilled therapist, teenagers have the opportunity to connect with peers who may be facing similar issues, fostering a sense of belonging and understanding. Group therapy promotes open communication, empathy, and self-reflection as participants learn from one another's perspectives and offer support. It provides a safe space for teenagers to express themselves, gain valuable insights, and develop effective coping skills. With the guidance of a trained professional and the support of their peers, group therapy empowers teens to navigate life's obstacles, build resilience, and foster personal growth in a collaborative and compassionate setting.
This program is funded by a grant from the Kellogg Youth Endowment Fund at the Keweenaw Area Community Foundation (KCF). Grants from the Kellogg Youth Endowment Fund are deliberated on and recommended by KCF’s Youth Advisory Council - a group of local youth interested in philanthropy, leadership, and service to the community.
