Keweenaw Family Resource Center
KFRC gives parents and kids a great place to play, meet friends, grow, and develop.
The Keweenaw Family Resource Center (KFRC) exists to support, enrich and strengthen family life in the Keweenaw Peninsula by ensuring an emotionally and physically healthy start for all children under the age of four regardless of income or ability. Our vision is that all families with young children in the Copper Country will participate in healthy child development activities in nurturing environments that encourage parents and caregivers to play an active role in their child’s life.
Parenting is a joyful, challenging, and rewarding job. Help, support, and resources are available.
KFRC programs offers a variety of initiatives for families with young children including parent education, home visiting, socializations, active play, and sensory/motor experiences at the Tree House Indoor Playground.
The Tree House is an indoor playground and exploration space, complete with a designated infant space, climbing wall, lily pond, tire swing, and, of course, a tree house!
