Advancing the Word of God and Enhancing the Broader Church
The Faith Lutheran Educational Resource endowment’s primary purpose is to provide financial support to the Faith Lutheran Church in Calumet in acquiring the Lutheran magazine, devotional booklets, Bibles, Sunday school materials, or similar educational resources that advance the Word of God and enhance the broader Church.
The Calumet congregation, Faith Lutheran Church, is a continuation of the Finnish, Swedish, and Norwegian group that met in Trinity Lutheran in 1890 to organize the Finnish Evangelical Lutheran Church In America-Suomi Synod.
A sample denominational magazine and devotional book procured for the congregation through the endowment.
