Meet the Staff
Jim Vivian - Executive Director
Why KCF: I am a fifth-generation resident of Houghton and Keweenaw counties, and I come from a strong family tradition of supporting the community that has supported our family. Being involved with the Keweenaw Community Foundation is important to me because of the positive influence and impact we have on the quality of our community.
Passions: In the spring and summer, I can be found navigating boats powered by motor, sail, and paddle in the Great Lakes and other waters of North America. In the Fall and winter, I can be found enjoying the Keweenaw outdoors in all its glory.
Lisa Broemer - Office Manager
Why KCF: After learning what the Foundation does for the community, I knew I wanted to be a part of this team. Every day, I leave the office with the satisfaction that I helped make a difference, maybe in a small way, maybe in a big way, maybe for an individual, maybe for a group of people—big or small, being a part of a team that “inspires giving that invests in our community’s quality of life” is exactly where I want to be.
Passions: Health and happiness. I am a people person—a social butterfly so to speak. Whether with my family, friends, or at community events meeting new people, I always want to see smiles and hear laughter. I try to promote healthy living within my community as well as my own household and family.
Kyle Krym - Head of Marketing & Communications
Why KCF: I love working for KCF because we are uniquely situated to help and learn about the entire community. We have the ability to bring the entire community together, which makes our organization extremely special. I also firmly believe that the sustainability that underlines everything we do really makes For Good. For Ever. not just a slogan, but a guarantee when working with us.
Passions: Writing. Creativity. The strange, little quirks that make us all unique.
